Gidget the Mechanic

Introducing Gidget!  Talented little engineer in the Star Wars universe, who maintains her older brother's starship, and is in love with her home-built astromech droid.  She got tangled up in the rebellion against the Empire when their ship was chartered by a childhood friend of her brother and a Bothen spy.  

Character for our Edge of the Empire Star Wars tabletop roleplaying game.  I drew her up really quickly so one of the other players could make an accurate sprite for roll20.net

 This isn't my proudest work, but it's my first finished drawing I've done on my new(ish) Microsoft Surface Pro tablet computer, using Corel Painter 12.  The combination of learning to use the new tablet and a whole new art program is a huge learning curve, so I'm pleased I've finally cracked out Something noteworthy!  Sadly PaintTool Sai doesn't work on the Surface at this point, it doesn't seem to know how to handle the touch screen.
